As today was our first full day in Japan, we ventured on the subway so we could see more stuff quickly.
We started off at Osaka Aquarium. It had a whale swimming around in the main tank. It was a really amazing aquarium. They had some huge jellyfish. It was really funny seeing the Japanese schoolkids all buddied-up running around in their colour-coordinated hats. Next to the aquarium was the biggest ferris wheel in the world, so we had to go on that.
After that, we went to Osaka castle park to see the castle. The observation deck up there was also really high up and had some good views of Osaka. However, they werent nearly as amazing as the view from the Umeda Sky Building Floating Garden Observatory that we went to in the evening. Osaka at night was amazing and we spent ages up there not wanting to come back as Im not going to see a skyskape like that for a good few years!
So today was a lot of fun, spent alot on admissions but it was completely worth it. Next we are heading to Koyasan and then to our first wwoof host so wont be adding a blog entry for about a week.
